Yoga for New Mums
Yoga for New Mums by Kate Lupton
Having a baby changes everything, from having a new sleeping pattern to negotiating your identity as a parent. Since having my daughter Rebecca a few months ago, I've realised how much time I had to myself before. Time to enjoy a (hot) cup of tea, to have a chat with a friend (without being interrupted), to enjoy a bit of fresh air or exercise.Finding the time to do these things with a little one is tricky, but it's so important that we do so. For me, taking a bit of time out to do some yoga every week has been wonderful - giving me direction and strength as I've adjusted to becoming a parent. Whether starting for the first time or returning to a regular practice, yoga can help us feel rejuvenated. It can help stretch tight shoulders, build strength or simply take a few breaths, unwind and relax.
So come join me on the mat! I've just started a new postnatal yoga class at Boston Spa Village Hall. Held on Mondays at 11-12, the class gives new Mums the opportunity to stretch, strengthen and relax, and bring their little ones along. I
t would be lovely to see you there! A new 6-week course starts in January 2017. Places are limited and need to be booked in advance. To book your place, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
